If you engage PDK sport, you will find that the temperature reduces significantly - this opens the third (central) radiator.

More likely this is the case.

Sure there will be others in the que at the OPC that would be upset not to be offered it first especially if production is ending this summer and most options other than Bose are now available!
I was configuring my specification yesterday morning and the OPC checked and confirmed that Bose is available.

Guess this makes sense as it wasn’t the same advisor.

I wasn’t particularly unhappy the cancelled allocation didn’t come my way. I only enquired last week, I’m sure there are others in the queue way before me!

Just seemed a bit unfair they were cold calling old clients who had shown no interest in GT cars, when they must have a long list of current customers begging for one. Maybe it’s a way of getting old customers back into Porsche.
They didn’t ring me!

Hopefully this is kind of the right place to post this: anyone had any experience of whether there are noise issues at Bedford Autodrome with the standard induction/silencer? MSV were not able to provide any help as to whether the car generally has an issue on the phone, and while I could take it to Snetterton for a static noise test, my experience at Bedford is that it's the drive by that's the issue. (I could take the Exige but I already know it's borderline for noise and I'd love to try the Cayman out!)

The 718 GT4 is a pretty quiet car due to the GPFs. They measure 90-92dB static. I've not had mine measured drive by but I'd be very surprised if it was too loud. What are the limits on the day you're looking at?

EDIT: a quick Google says it's 101dB static and 87.5dB drive by a Bedford. So static you'll be fine and drive by could be touch and go. Mad Scientist had a black flag at Beford in his 718 GT4 when he had it, so you may have to just see how you get on.

Thanks Twinfan. Sorry, posting the limits would have been helpful and yes, you have got them right. My general experience with other cars is that 101db is normally fine for most, but the 87.5db driveby is very tight with a lot of aftermarket exhausts and even standard OE exhausts for high power cars, particularly switchable ones such as on the GT4. I'll have a think about it.

My standard 718 GT4 was absolutely fine at Bedford. Was there several times last year without issue.

A little above list, too, by the look of it?

As a brand new car it would have to be at list plus road tax and OTR charges. Config says £105,288 for the car itself, road tax is £2,015. £908 seems high for number plates etc but not exactly flipper levels!

I was at Bedford twice last year with my 718 GT4 and had no issues with the stock exhaust system. Not even a warning

The £900 could be their cost for Swissvax/Lifeste and/or other stty 'protection' products, which have already been applied to the car. But yes, you're right any brand new & unregistered car cannot be sold over list by an OPC, only a fully registered car can. This one is listed with zero miles, and given it's pretty much list I suspect it's brand new.

I see Romans have just listed a June 2022 PTS Rubystar car for £103k. It's a high spec but weirdly it's sans any sort of headlight upgrade, which is weird for such a high spec car, and it was before there were issues with PDLS+.

't will be interesting to see how long these two hang around. smile

Thanks very much. Stupid question perhaps, but was that with the exhaust button set to loud? Did you need to short shift after turn 1 for that noise marker?

I’m pretty sure that over a certain rpm (4k I think) the valves open automatically so it’s the same with the valve open or closed.

I think with exhaust off but as has been said, I don’t think it makes much/any difference under full throttle at higher revs. I didn’t short shift or make any attempt to stay away from the microphones. Let me know if you’re planning on going as I’m keen to book another day up.

Sold already.

The yellow car they listed yesterday at £85k has been increased to £90k today as well.

I'm not surprised about the yellow car, IMO it was too cheap at £85k, and arguably too cheap (considering the spec and competition) and a bargain at £90k. smile
