Hi all.

Up in Fife in Scotland and had my new racing yellow pdk GT4 for just over a month now and nibbling away at accumulating running in miles before giving it the beanzzz.. Previous car was a maual GTS 4.0 and am slowly discovering the two cars are fairly chalk and cheese...mebes amplified by the new car being pdk.

Absolutely loving it and planning on keeping it for the long haul.....its main worth so far being the miles of smiles. smile

Not so the Dunlops. Had PS4s fitted to suit my expected use of the car prior to taking delivery, so the 20ish mile Dunlops will be going should anyone have any interest in them.
Hi buddy,

Im also in Fife, i have a 718 gt4 red cs. Might see you around. Im always kicking around in it.

The cup2s are fine in my opinion for most days, they are great in the dry but not horrendous in the rain. I toured all round Scotland in all weather's with them.
HI there
Not seen you about I'm afraid...only a shark blue car RO55... in the passing.
Did drive a car on Cup2s around the back roads when down at Silverstone in some driech weather and the tyres when warmed up performed pretty well.
Will see how it goes with the PS4s. I do like to drive the car, but at the same time, not too worried about getting the last few tenths out of it. Will see....mebes will look out for a spare set of wheels.

Will keep a look out for you, where I am the other side of Kirkcaldy from you.

Enjoy the drive.

Hi guys,

I’ve been following this thread for a while but this it my first post.

I’m trying to upgrade from a bmw to Porsche and I would really want a GT4…I know the ship has probs sailed but I’m wondering would I be able to secure one? When are they stopping production of GT4? I have zero buying history from Porsche

Thanks ????
This looks a nice nearly new CS if still looking, may be as end of month/tax year a deal could be done!

Thats not a CS car.

Bit of a weird poverty spec too around £7k options with basic placcy dash and doortops.

Still around £23k over basic list new or for the benefit of GT4P around £16k over optioned list ££. hehe

How can you open with that, first option on the list is “full clubsport package”
Must agree tho, light on other options at that price and will never understand people not ticking leather interior, most important option of all for me. Plastic dashtop ruins Porsches of any model entirely.

A very niche/specific spec that one. Free paint, Basic lights, Plastic dash, Steels. But has the track options of CS, Buckets, Sport Chrono and PDK.

So it's specced for someone who wants to track-slag it, who has no interest in anything else. Nothing wrong with that, but it's not a spec that satisfies most of the market of buyers so IMO that's a mega punchy price. Weirdly it doesn't have the 12 o'clock marker or Cruise, both of which are popular with track goers, and given the time of production both were available.

It's way over current list price, and significantly over list price from when it was specced/ordered, so a tough sell IMO.

Anyone know why this one is still around? The spec list is comprehensive.

I disagree, it's two words.

Horrendous interior.

You're probably right, but I think you can buy an OEM carbon interior pack for <£1500. I appreciate that not everyone wants to start taking their interior apart on a £90k car.

Surely the concept of "track slag" says more about the driver than the car ... ?

Yes I think it is a minimal track spec, but look what Porsche did with the air-cooled RS's ?

A potential buyer will either like the spec, or not be a buyer ...

Congratulations regarding the allocation. When is the build date scheduled?

New allocation and a new member of Pistonheads at the same time!

I've changed my mind from Python Green to Gentian Blue to Guards red, before settling back on Gentian Blue again.

Was not the 997.2gt3rs pretty basic inside , lacking leather dash etc , and is not that the point of a CS? Mind you I think most order CS pack for the kudos and resale these days!

Just got the call - I was starting to lose hope of getting one before production stops so I'm mega happy.

Build in June and delivery August/September. I have a trip to Wales with SCD booked for September so if it arrives in time for that I'll be made up.

Colour is so subjective I'm not sure we could ever help you.

I went for Yellow, which I love.
Some hate it.

SCD is September!

I believe this is the last slot for GT4 so we're very lucky...I wonder how many other people made the cut as well?

Once production has stopped and all the cars delivered all GT4 owners should have a meet up!!

The CD/DVD was still an option!, at least they will churn out a load more 4RS in replacement of Gt4 , but no mention of SpyderRS
