That what I paid last week. I declined the Porsche Assistance as I have AA cover so it made no sense to me . I believe Porsche assistance gives you a courtesy car plus trackside recovery which my regular cover may not do
Yes the give something like a merc ,bmw.
AA do the porsche roadside assistance anyway, just dont get a yellow van and posher overalls.

They are able to be a bit flexible with their pricing if my experience is anything to go by.

My 2016 981 is due a minor service next month. I enquired about the cost a few months ago and was quoted £681.09 inc brake fluid.
I called yesterday to book it in to be advised the cost of the service is £747 plus brake fluid. I queried it and told them what I'd been quoted and they said they'd honour it.
Also need to renew two year warranty which they tried to charge £1,470. Again referring to their earlier quotation I'd been expecting £1,190. They agreed to honour the quotation. TBF, I think they'd included the 111 check which isn't necessary as it's being serviced by them.
Anyway, towards the end of the call they further reduced the cost of the service inc brake fluid to £650 as an apology for faffing about.
If I'd not queried anything it would've been £2,217 +brake fluid. I'm now paying £1,840. Still expensive but rather less than it could've been.

They do three years now and as said above, no 111 point check if already in warranty, original or extended.

Three year warranty? What price for a 981? Thanks.

I have the price for my 991but not for 981/ 982. For a 991.2 it goes 1020/ 1840/ 2750 plus roadside assistance of 169/ 275/ 385.

Does anyone have a comparison in the 4 year service?

I've been quoted £1512 and £1350 by different OPC's - that's for service, brake fluid change and spark plugs.

Have been quoted half that from a specialist - I have the extended warranty which I think service at a specialist will invalidate.

Paid around £900 for 4 year service on my 981 Spyder last year in the Midlands. Based on feedback from 4 or 5 other Spyder owners on another thread this was about par. There do seem to be regular examples of large numbers being quoted/paid - I guess like many things these days you have to shop around to avoid being exploited.

Was quoted £1,674 by a Porsche owned dealership for the 4 year. Naturally I took it to another for £875 (incl fluid/plugs,etc.)

Does the Porsche warranty cover you in Europe as well?

Paid around £1200 for the 4 year service on my 718 Cayman S, which was service, brake fluid and plugs. Did get much higher quotes from other OPCs too. Service at Portsmouth was absolutely brilliant and very Covid safe.

Well i’ve had quotes from 4 opc’s for the 4 year - cheapest under a grand and a £600 spread. So well worth picking up the phone.

You could always supply your own oil to save a few quid.
Tbh £1200 is alot of money for a service and you cant even use the coffee macine or eat the pastries.
What did they charge for the spark plugs?

I’ve been quoted £736 and £695 for a first 2 year service on a gts. Also had a low offer on a px against a 911. This may be my last Porsche as the depreciation is getting silly.

An OPC will bid you in the balls. Try WBAC if you are serious about selling it.

Reading the threads and with my 718 S going in next week for its 4 yr service phoned to see what price and what was covered. Service, fluids and spark plugs all for £995 inc VAT. I am happy with that and in line with average what I pay to get the TVR serviced.

I'm getting my 2 year service carried out at porsche Sutton Coldfield for £650.

Porsche Solihull wanted £695, which is a bit rich considering we've had about 450k's worth of cars from them in the past 12 months.

Finally, I get the two year intervals, so £650 is reasonable in comparison to other cars. But, I don't get why a filter change, fluid change and check over can total £650? I was told working on the 4cyl 718's is a bit of a pig, maybe thats it!?

Your right in the sense of the basic raw materials - oil, filters, spark plugs etc. The real cost is the labour rate, prob £100-150ph. That's not just the mechanic 's salary its also covering all the plush showroom costs, local rates, admin staff, any Porsche GB head office costs pushed out to dealerships etc. Hence why indies are so much cheaper. It shouldn't make a difference as it will still use OEM parts, depends on how you feel whilst under warranty. Mines got 2 years left and will use OPC whereas when my M3s were out of warranty I used indies.

It is getting ridiculous - the Porsche owned centers not charging the online advertised prices on the Porsche website - even if those were still a joke; not approving the warranty if the tyres are not N rated or the tyre goo out of date.

I'm now specialists all the way and put money in the bank rather than pay for the warranty - but, with the costs as the cars get more complicated I can't fault folks keeping with the brand.
