Allocation and acceptance of order is different to getting it built.
Vw golf r customers who ordered their cars in December are being told wait at least 30 weeks for delivery , was 12 weeks.
You only have to read through the threads on here customers who have their orders in and expecting delivery haven't even been given a build date yet.
As said it will be a wait and see?
Hi tedblog you are spot on since we last spoke on here I have had 2 conversations with my OPC who finally admitted that they dont have an allocation / build slot for a car that was going to be here in Feb , he has also admitted that he cant give me any idea when it will be here , at one level im not to bothered as im working from home and apparently will be for forseeable future so current one gets used about once a week to do a bit off essential shopping , what is a bit annoying is that I had to ask , when was he going to tell meVw golf r customers who ordered their cars in December are being told wait at least 30 weeks for delivery , was 12 weeks.

Anybody with an allocation had a dedicated finance quote on a Boxster 25 . What’s the GFV compared to standard gts are they the same or more in line with the spyder?
I was told they're not available yet. If they're in line with the Spyder then that will be excellent as when you compare a Spyder to a 718GTS the GTS is very expensive on monthlies.Shiverman said:

I hadn't even considered a Spyder until reading this. Just specced one up and the monthlies are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. To the extent that I'm almost ready to just go 'fk it' and get one. I'm not very good at waiting though...teddosan said:

Your problem here might be getting an allocation. My usual dealer (from whom I've had a lot of cars including GT allocations) gave me a flat NO last week to a Spyder. Said I could have a GT4 but Spyder was a no no.

Yeah, I thought that might be the issue. Probably for the best tbh. Truth is, I don't really know what I want. GT4 is probably too hardcore for a lot of what I'd want to use it for. Spyder probably would be too. GTS 4.0 looks like a sweet spot, but quite expensive monthly. I've always had a hankering after a 911, but then I also want a NA engine so I'm looking pre-991.2. At which point PCM is utter rubbish and the car is quite old. And when spending this much I want it to be as close to my ideal as possible. If you're not worried about the soft top, it may be worth you looking at the GT4 as you should be able to get one by the summer and the monthlies are at the level of the Spyder.

Also I am a bit confused: called a few OPCs, asked if the have spring allocation available, they always sound surprised and tell one needs to place an order first and only then they hear from factory re allocations?!?

Suprised how many of these limited edition b25 cars seem to still be available
I’d of thought all 80 or so destined for the uk would be snapped up immediately
I had heard there are around 100 coming to these shores in two batches. First batch May/June and then a second run arriving Sept/Oct. I don’t believe either dates are fully confirmed. I’d of thought all 80 or so destined for the uk would be snapped up immediately
From talking to a few dealerships the first allocations of 2 cars (around 80 total) were snapped up but then some of the dealers got a second bite with another 20 or so cars.
I’m interested to see if this is a new third allocation or a cancelled order.
It will be interesting to see the finance figures and Porsches GFV on this vehicle to see how they judge its future value over a GTS.
