That looks amazing! Unsure on the black/gold with red roof, that doesn't work for me.
Unfortunately I’m thinking the same and I’m locked with black and a red roof!!!

Let’s hope it’s better in the flesh!

You're not necessarily locked in. As I understand it, the lock in date is EARLIEST date on which it will be unchangeable. So if you ring tomorrow your SA will be able to tell you whether it is locked yet or not. If it is not, he/she'll be able to change it. If it is I am sure your red roof will look magnificent!

blimey, can you not call them to change just the one element the roof? surely, its hardly a substantial rewind on the spec.

I believe Porsche use SAP to manage their production planning and scheduling. And many Porsches (including my own) have been purchased on the back of consulting on SAP systems implementation. And, trust me, when SAP says it's locked, it's locked. SAP is a superb german system but archetypally teutonic. White is still unlocked. Black is locked and the transition is a one way ticket. 'Can you just' is not in the vocabulary.

Thanks for the input guys - the car is not officially locked yet but I was asked to put my final spec in rather than the original holding spec and please not keep changing it.

I’m sure they’d make the change if I asked but I’ve swung total 360 on spec so I’m just going to leave it and hope I don’t hate it! If I do Mrs Shiver can drive it as it was her choice LOL

Quite a cavalier attitude, I admire it. Personally I think you'll regret it, now is your chance. Just look at that black on black, it looks absolutely stunning. Your call, but black red and gold is such a confused colour combo.

Sounds brilliant. I’m really looking forward to seeing some delivered cars and maybe some on the road as well.

Are you going to be using yours regularly?

Mine is October delivery so I hope to get a few miles on it before the bad weather sets in.

Yep, can relate to this. If Mrs Bee wants a red or black roof, she can have it. On the other hand, if she wants a BMW Z4, she can whistle.

A bit like the run-about, she thought a Fiesta would be fine. I agreed with her completely and she bombs around in a Mountune ST now. I saw her make 70mph in it once. Mind you, she’s worked it out now her fillings drop out when she hits a pot hole. rolleyes

After all, there are decisions and ‘decisions’.

sure but at least open up debate on it. She might take one look and agree. She might not. But it is a bit odd if you ask me to not at least table the thought.

Black with red roof and gold wheels looks amazing in my eyes. Must be the Essex in me. 48, not a yoof.

Attempt to post a video of the 718 boxster engine sound. Maybe a fail.

Black on black does look amazing tbh.
I spec’d my GT3 in GT silver (Mrs Shivers choice) and I regretted it so much after waiting so long for the car that the B25 is the first car since that she’s commented on or voiced an option while I’m choosing.

She didn’t want to know my Spyder spec and colour as she said she didn’t want to muck up another special car for me so I think I’ve subconsciously spec’d the B25 to what she liked even if I don’t and am nervous as hell over it. Hey I’ve even gone PDK as she doesn’t love to drive manuals these days 😂.

If it’s that bad it’ll just have to be a fine weather car with the roof down. LOL.

Exactly - picking my battles - and it’s always a good one to throw out there when you want to change it for the next one - well it wasn’t even my specification darling!

I think you’re going to love the B25 then. Mrs S had a 981 Boxster GTS and we drove the 718 S and it was fast and was overall better than the 981 but no soul in our opinion with the F4 engine.
Now there is an F6 4.0 all the negatives are answered.

Set a reminder to ping me in October just in case Mrs S and I both hate it - LOL!

In all honesty I think it will look very eye catching with the red interior.

but its a 30 second chat whilst making a cuppa.

"Here is a pic with a red roof, and here with black...which do you prefer...

...still red huh? ok cool

or

..oh, blacK? ok, I'll arrange to have it changed"

How it be anymore involved than that?
I'm sorry but your rationale makes zero sense.

I did show her the pics on the posts above and she said she still liked the red roof and I went ‘ah ok’. Don’t think it lasted 30 seconds tbh and I didn’t push it.
