I used the gearbox in manual mode nearly all the time, even on the motorway, and in Sport + the crack of the gearshifts up and down, and the harshness of the suspension was just too much for the road the majority of the time...in the end I must have used Sport + two or three times in two years of ownership, whereas the car was in Sport mode pretty much all of the time.

As above -- rarely use Sport+ but am always in Sport and always in manual mode when not in gridlock. Used Sport+ on the Tale of the Dragon in North Carolina -- great for 'racing' situations -- otherwise, not so much.
