Hi all,

OPC informed that Mitchelin are no longer producing N rated tyres for 18" Boxster 987 rear tyres. Which explains why I can't find them anywhere.

They are looking to get quotes for Bridgestone and Conti's. Any recommendations please if I have the choice between the two?

(That assumes they can find them - I might be onto Blackcircles finest budget tyres with the way the tyre market is looking at the minute eek)

Cheers,

Paul.

Do you need N rated tyres?
If not then buy the non N rated Michelins (which I presume are still being manufactured).

Michelin do the PS4 in 18" sizes for 987. Couple of my friends have them fitted and rate them. N rating is pointless at this age.

I've got the Carrera Classic 19" on my 987 and I've had a similar problem with tyres. It would appear only Pilot Sport 4S and new Potenza Sport will fit (if I don't mix model).

Unfortunately as you'd expect these are not cheap and are also absolutely ideal for a 600hp car, might be a bit too sticky for one not reaching 300 hehe

I have the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics on my 19in 987.2 CS.

Rate them.
