Where in my sentence was I talking down 4RS values? We were discussing volumes to which you were trying to put a spin on 4RS numbers, you must have one on order and as ever talking up the values of cars you own or will own!

Indeed M, in fact only on Thursday I posted on this very thread the 4RS will tend to drop further in value ££ in the short to medium term as more cars hit the market.

Agree, worldwide figures are not hugely relevant in the UK. Especially with the RHD issue. UK figures I would suggest therefore tend to stand alone. In a country with a population of 67M people I’m not sure it makes much odds even medium term whether Porsche sell a total 300 or 400 or whatever it ends up at. It’s still going to be a very rare sight indeed on the public highway and a fantastic drivers car/last of the line/one off etc etc…..
And, no, I’m not trying to talk the value up because I have an RS incoming in summer. I will do what I do with all my cars when it arrives - try and run it in quite soon then put some proper miles on it and enjoy it! It will be used most days for a mix of short and long drives. Life is short and I like to make the most of every drive I can.

Agree and the worldwide production numbers are largely irrelevant in terms of UK cars as the UK market is so small with a unique structure but nevertheless extremely important not only to Porsche but other manufacturers too.

Unless we are talking about ultra rarity e.g the 997 GT3 RS 4.0 with just c 28 UK cars it doesn't really matter whether there are 250 or 1250 cars these numbers are still extremely low in the grand scheme of things and low enough to maintain relatively robust residuals and they will still be a very rare sight on UK roads.

Shark blue
No WP
Steel brakes
Club sport
Axle lift
LED lights
Racetex interior

Thanks - went for the standard, the black are so hard to keep clean plus get a bit visually lost I feel. Considered Silver but not so sure with blue.

Shrewd choice Finmac I much prefer the standard wheel design to the mags design anyway and would never pay extra for black or painted non pcccb calipers the red look great with the blue.

The standard finish on the wheels is a shade darker than the typical satin platinum of the GT3s (more like the GT4 wheels but even perhaps even a shade darker) so with steels which will shed a fair amount of brake dust the 4RS wheels will tend to look darker still I guess. Not a huge fan of silver/gold/blue/black wheels but the silver wouldn't be a bad choice given the darkening effect of the brake dust lol.

Given the limited number of Shark WP cars there is a high probability yours will be the only non WP Shark RS in the UK...now that is rarity!

Thanks AV. Yea I spent a fair while thinking it through and hope it all looks OK when I see it in the flesh!

Went for the red accent pack to match calipers as I personally love the “PORSCHE” rear window logo. Re the carbon - I’ve had carbon on my Caterhams for decades now and also have a Lotus Exige with CF front end and spoiler etc, as such CF had zero novelty value for me. I don’t hugely like the CF bonnet and once you add in the stripe cost, it was £11K extra for zero performance gain.

It’s a shame the coloured lettering pack is just a sticker for the PORSCHE lettering on top of the glass on the rear window. Seems a bit of a cop-out.

Spec looks great though, finmac. Congrats on the new car!
