Wow.

Wow, again. Face punch stunning. Love it (but be warned I’m no judge of taste myself!).

I saw 9 spyders in a convoy earlier this week. They were all dull colours. Silver and white mostly.

Have another wow.

Haha thanks, it defo will not be for everyone and I would still pick yellow over it given the choice but hey 1st world problems and all that, colour is a very personal thing but what amazes me is people are like sheep and often spec new not what they want themselves but for what is safe with resale in mind but from what I have seen I am not convinced that is what used car market is after, over in the lakes yesterday we passed a Lava orange 911 cab, it looked fantastic and got the thumbs up from me, again just not something you see every day and a breath of fresh air amongst the blacks and greys.

I did notice the new Spyder RS launch colour is the same as my pals grandpops old Insignia, just why would you rolleyes
saying that I would take one in brown / pink or both if they would sell me one biglaugh

Is your GTS yellow?

Agree with spec thing. If you are lucky enough to be in a position to factory spec a brand new car, buy and spec it for yourself not some random stranger you’ve never met.

The pricing madness continues

8 year old car which was probably no more than this when new.

Insanity.

Amazingly that £60k+ CGTS seems to have gone. No idea if it was sold and at what price. But yeah, if Porsche want to artificially inflate the market by listing them so high then crack on biggrin.

WBAC and co still only offering £40k flat for them though.

I paid less than that for a better-spec Cayman GTS in 2016.

WBAC are not the market, they don’t judge the whole market place value, just a company that either wants your car or doesn’t.

Motorway would be a better bet.

The number of 981 GTS is limited and gradually reducing.

But OPC prices are insane.

advertising price and getting someone to pay that can be two very different things, my Bgts was advertised for months and we had very little interest and no one so much as made an offer and I still think it was priced at one of the best value cars and well specced with low miles. I gave up in the end concluding we had a short window to move it and it went via Motorway to the trade to an OPC for close enough to what I wanted for it for a hassle free sale.

What price did you get off motorway Jeff?

Seller was asking 50k for the one I bought, I paid 47 but probably could have hot it for less. It was exact spec I was after (at the time, now I would want 18 way seats too).

Almost identical spec at OPC was £62k at the time.

Such a shame, I'm looking for a GTS with sub 15K miles, yours was too much miles for me but a great car I'm sure, I've been sitting on £50k now for 2 years for the right car, I did miss a 11k one in carmine red about a year ago but prices seen to be going mad now.

Curious to the thought process of hanging on for one sub 15,000 miles ? Surely you have missed out on 2 years of enjoying a car by dismissing others ? Not a criticism by the way just curious ?

Agree. I was going to keep my mileage on BGTS down as much as possible, just use it occasionally. It had 18k on it when I bought it last September.

Well just came back from Northern Italy and now has 26k on it. Fek it, life is wayyyy toooo shhhoooorttttt.

I do regret letting the Carmine Red one slip through my fingers, if I could go back in time I would do things differently. Anyway, my search continues and lesson learnt..

Did you look at the one I bought, back in September? 18k, 50k private sale near Cambridge?

Sometimes the most economical way to buy a car in terms of depreciation is buy one with miles already on it.

I did ok out of mine , but it could have gone the other way,I just drove it and putting miles on cars never bothers me, I bought mine around 18 months ago for £45k, it had done 20,000 miles at the time , had just been serviced and 4 new ps4s fitted, It was never the car I wanted and was always only ever going to be a stop gap til I found a pdk Spyder but have to say I really enjoyed the car and we did 8,500 miles touring in it and as I have previously said when I bought the Spyder running them side by side there is a lot of things about the 981gts I much prefer and if I am honest I still prefer, I did consider keeping it and moving the 718 on however getting pretty much my money back convinced me to part with it and it's now coming back up for sale shortly with an OPC I believe at £55k .
