Living with a 981/982 Spyder through winter - and no garage

Is anyone doing this?
Is the hood sufficiently weather tight to
(a) be usable in the worst of our winters, and
(b) able to survive being left unsheltered when not in use?
I am keen to hear your experiences if you have done this over the last few years, before I commit further on this ever more enticing path.
My current circumstances do not allow me to garage any of my cars....:-(

The two 981 Spyders I had never saw a garage really and experienced every type of weather Scotland could muster. The hood never leaked at all and when not in use it was just parked in the garden, did it no harm at al, although i did have it on trickle charge.

I would not generally use the car on salty roads, as I have perfectly good alternatives for those conditions.
In winter, my M3 might not get used for 2 or 3 weeks at a time, and so I tend to have that on trickle charge anyway, so no change there.
I need to find the right car now - PAUC was showing only 14 cars earlier this week, whereas it had 18 a couple of weeks ago.

One year and 13000 miles later, I have had zero issues. Car lives outside on a London street. Is the hood sufficiently weather tight to
(a) be usable in the worst of our winters, and
(b) able to survive being left unsheltered when not in use?
