That would be the one.
Thankfully paid a lot less (perk of buying a car in winter before demand ramps up in spring / summer).
I prefer the look of the alcantara wheel - however I'm quite into sim racing (and the wheel rims I had with Alcantara started looking a bit tatty after a few years) - so the leather wheel actually appealed to me. Maybe not such a problem on these cars - but it definitely didn't put me off buying it.

Small world! It is indeed that car!
It's an absolutely fantastic spec - your father picked some great options on it!
Just to add to this cars history, it was this very car sat in Mid-Sussex's showroom in Spring 2021 which prompted me to order my GT4.It's an absolutely fantastic spec - your father picked some great options on it!
I'd gone to Mid-Sussex to look at a lightly used 991.2 GTS, but as much as I was drawn by the Miami GTS, my head kept looking over at the GT4 on the opposite side of the showroom by the entrance (It was also roped off). I enquired about ordering one, and was rudely told no, which is when I found out how terrible Mid-Sussex are as an OPC.
From memory it was up £96k, and it had a personal plate on it starting R5, but the leather wheel stuck out to me which is why I remember it. I think the person who owned it now has a 4RS.

Alcantara is easily refreshed, It's not worn, more than the pile has become flattened by oils from hands. Easy to clean up and make as new again Twinfan said:

I do struggle to comprehend why this isn’t understood and instead, people regurgitate internet lore. (Not aimed at you btw Paul)

Agreed, I wet it with a spray-on upholstery cleaner and dry it off with a microfibre cloth which I keep rising until there are no more bubbles ... then with a clean towel and leave to dry.
I have a 100% "like-new" success rate after 30,000 miles and no driving gloves ... it works for me

That's good to know Chris. My 981 GT4 needs this attention a some point. Any preferred brand/type of upholstery cleaner?I have a 100% "like-new" success rate after 30,000 miles and no driving gloves ... it works for me

At first after cleaning you can feel the pile of the alcantara is a little hard ... rather like a very fresh towel ... but it very rapidly softens back to as new.

Auto Glym .... what you don't want is soap residue left in the pile of the alcantara to gum it up ...
