That roof! Back to 987 Spyder tent.

Crucially… spring and damper rates reduced to be more suitable for relax and characteristically convertible setup.

Hopefully that means complainers will move out of 4RS and leave one for me! Haha biggrin

Going to be epic, but (lack of) fullly closing roof would kill it for me. No rear window at all is a bit bizarre.

My dealer has been making tentatively positive noises about getting me one of these - fingers crossed it’s mega!

Absolutely stunning car. If I got one of these, I’d never put the roof down. Far too much of a faff haha.

It's a two-piece affair, similar to 987 Spyder.

A beautiful machine

Assume it's secure when parked up with roof on?

It's a really stunning looking Porsche and better looking than the 4RS even though I own one. However, there's no way I could run one in this wet cold country. Absolute perfect car if I was fortunate to live in the French Riviera with regular sojourns to the nearby Alps.
On another note I really don't find the 4RS ride overly harsh but I guess that's a lot to do with my high tolerance for discomfort due to decades of driving tractors, UTVs, ATVs etc.
I have to congratulate Porsche to be brave enough to carry on making hardcore Sports cars like the Spyder RS and not pander to the new generation of soft, sensitive whinging wokey wimps.

I think you’ll find it does have a rear window - look on the configurator.

Noted, thanks for the update. Should probably look at things rather than guessing.

It is interesting to see how much more money it is to specify some of the more regular 'upgrade' colours on the RS versus the non RS models (such as GT silver and Gentian Blue). Porsche data gathering and marketing at it's finest.

I think it's a great looking car and I really like the launch colour, it reminds me of a shark's skin - even more so than GT SIlver cool

However, I also think it's an incredibly niche model by way of the price, roof idiosyncrasies, frenetic driving experience from the GT4RS etc. It's a track car with no roof, but there are no harnesses.

On the right day in the right place I would imagine it's going to be stunningly glorious to drive, but how many times a year is that going to happen?

I would love one.. If I lived in the South of France ( or anywhere with a sunny climate )

Waste of time in the UK, all that messing about with the roof is enough to put me off, unless you plan on never stopping/parking it up in public.
