Anyone done this? Seems like a nice modification (at a price!) not a fan of the standard PDK lever.

Crikey. Thats expensive give you can get a 4RS one from an OPC for £550ish. Admittedly only with blie or silver stitching.

Ludicrous pricing, Only time I have ever looked at a product from JCR was then I bought some BBS FI-R’s for my GT3….they were £2k (which was about 35% at the time) more expensive than Rimstyle…who are the UK importer. Total piss take….

I loved my GT4 RS PDK gear knob on my 718 GTS PDK. Probably one of the best mods I've ever made but it is pricey.

I was originally going to put it on my new 911 T before I realised it's an entirely different style on a 992. Now looking for a new home!

This is a 992 one but I made it work with my 718. Modernises the interior so much. Not cheap but definitely worth it.

Upgraded to the RS PDK shift lever, definitely a big improvement over the old thing in looks and action.

That looks great. Does the 992 one fit very easily or did you need to do a lot of adapting?

i had to buy a beaten up 987 shifter from ebay and transfer the plastic frame over to the new shifter to make it fit. hadn't intended to do that but i ordered the 992 pdk shifter by accident and they're special order so couldn't return it. necessity is the mother of invention and all that, and i think the parallel stitching actually looks pretty cool.

the spyder rs press car has a shifter with red stitching so if i was doing it again, i'd give my OPC parts department the reg no for that vehicle and ask them to order one the same one as in that car.

...and because I'm hopeless, is this the kind of 987 thing you bought? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124441326422

Am asking as I'd like to get this 992 one with Silver stitching so it matches the interior of my Spyder https://www.design911.co.uk/p/gearshift-knob--leat...

Thanks again

A guy I know has done it to his Turbo S. I think if I'd been told about it beforehand I'd brush it off as a ridiculous mod but changes the interior a lot. The alcantara coming off the stalk looks great imo

Grey is a stock colour for the 718 shifter - the swap would be a lot easier if this is the right shade? https://www.design911.co.uk/p/pdk-sport-knob-and-b...

Edit - just realised you said grey and not silver. Maybe worth an email to design 911 anyway in case the colour was available on the 991 (which would make it a straight swap). Getting someone to re-stitch the boot would also be a potentially easier option than swapping the 992 to a 718, but it can be done if you want. Not trying to discourage you but taking a 550 quid shifter apart and trying to stick it to a new frame is a bit daunting.

Cheers. Yep - am already in an email conversation with Design 911 on exactly that ie grey vs silver. They're getting the grey items in tomorrow so will be able to tell how similar they are in reality then by comparing to a mat with silver stitch
