Advice needed fellow gen 2 owners, rear lamps have become crazed & dull like they all seem to,I would like to replace with OE type ones, anyone sourced them new at less than eye watering prices? Thanks in anticipation.

I just replaced mine with oem after 133,000 miles - the old one were shagged - cloudy - scratched and corroding inside

Expensive - but worth it in the end

An option before expensive replacement could be giving the lights a polish. It might require a machine polisher to do this.

Saying this without encontering the issue with rear lights, but on fronts they can usually be polished & certainly from the 981/991 cars where this is more common, it might be a result of the UV film breaking down.

If on the inside then recourse might be a repair or replacement.

What about a breakers yard? Assuming the car's not been damaged on the rear!

Just curious, did you get a price from an OPC to compare?
