So thoughts are, it's all down to tyre choice.
Good stuff. Makes my p/x in my add much easier now.

It's down to driver skill and an educated right foot.
MSP's are not really any good below 5 degrees reading the blurb on the side wall yet I've done many miles (knocking on 1k at a guess) on proper snow and ice with them in my CS and only had one "How the hell did I save that?" moment (which was down to me being a plonker in the first place).
I've driven it for many, many miles in all weathers and so long as there is some meat on the tread even standing water was/is less scarry than it is in the Golf.
They are such adjustable cars and are so forgiving it is untrue.

Then you will be fine, much better I suspect than in a 911 but as I haven't driven one of those beyond the limit or in snow (yet) I can't be absolute about it.There have been times when I have genuinely had to look out the side window to see the
I really do love mine so much that I can't bring myself to sell it, or the other one I own part of. Given that they are both CS's I'm also highly likely to see every penny spent on them and more back if they ever were sold.
Took my S2 on summer tyres out in the snow and it was terrible. Ended up going sideways towards a wall. Managed to recover just in time. It was loosing traction even going at 15mph, and not accelerating. Never again.
