Cayenne 4.5 Turbo S shock absorber settings

My car has the 3 settings for the shock absorber settings (sport, normal and comfort)

Everything seems to work as it should and I have no fault lights on the dash or errors in the ECU but... I cant tell the difference whichever setting I have the car set to.

Are these settings really subtle or am I missing something - can you notice a difference in your cars?

I wonder if I have a fault with the system, is there a way to see if this system is working properly please?

Please can anyone else with the same system / same car tell me their experiences with this please?

Thanks

The difference is not subtle. Normal is noticeably harder than comfort and sport really is quite hard.

Ah, I wonder if I have a problem then. Is there anything I can check?

yeah can definitely tell between comfort and sport..not a mega difference but certainly noticeable. I wonder if tyre sidewall height may dampen the effects slightly ? I am currently on winter tyres so quite a high side wall at 275/45/20.

Just a thought.

cool

just wondering how the system works and if I can actually see (or hear) it working from outside the car

Is there a cam that turns to operate the different settings, does it run from the air compressor or is it hydraulic or electric?

To be honest I cant tell the different on any of the settings

I am going to check all the fuses today

As I said previously, I have checked and there are no fault codes stored, I did change the battery a while ago - does the system need a re-set?

Thanks for any thoughts and guidance

I have just moved from a 955 cayenne turbo (04MY) to a 955 cayenne turbo s (06MY), and to me it feels as if their is a difference between the two models regarding the suspension settings, the regular turbo seemed to have more noticeable difference between the comfort/normal/sport settings than the turbo s, which are more subtle.

Is it possible that one of the differences is a different module or controller for the suspension on the turbo S?
