To be fair, some of the maintenance on my 928 has taken longer than book due to the bolts having been on for 30 years, so prob best to allow a bit longer...

As for an S2, it was top of my list until I got the money to buy one, then they all disappeared. Still have a hankering but think investment would be the wrong mental attitude. Unlikely to lose much, if anything over a period of a few years, as long as maintenance is kept up. Just get one and drive it.

Probably time to sell my S2 Cabrio....Just before they go up seriously in price!
I sold a frogeye, a TR3A & a Sunbeam Alpine 5 at different times & all before the started to rocket up in price!
As others have said, you do have to spend a bit to keep them good, Porsche remind you whenever you want a part that this was a VERY expensive car when new...(£40k in 1989?)
Great car though
