OP...it's more of a philosophical question but why would you buy such a car, then want to start trying to improve the completely irrelevant 0-60mph time?

That car is a slightly-less-wobbly diesel SUV. It is not a performance car.
Isn't it a performance car?

I'd say it was, but not a sports car.

I've driven one. For what it is I thought it drove very well in standard form and I wouldn't have said it needed more power. As a performance proposition it's always going to be more limited by being a big SUV than by the BHP output. If you want something quicker are you sure a different car isn't what you're really after?

My friend has a 450 audi a4 3.0 tdi estate auto that he's tuned and that does the following according to VCDS logs.

0 - 60 4.2s
0 - 100 9.3s

Close enough.

I agree, close enough, the approx 500kg lighter Audi will have similar performance figures wink

Only a small set people would waste money on a 4.2 diesel Porsche.

Of those people only a handful would have accurately tested their 0-60

Of those people only a tiny handful would have had remap to specifically 440hp

Of those people only a minuscule handful would have then re-tested their 0-60

Which is why you have no answer on a non Porsche specialist anti diesel forum.
WHAT DATE EXACTLY DID THIS BECOME AN ANTI DIESEL WEBSITE ?
DO YOU OWN THIS SITE?
Ah, school holidays again...

Yes, but the dual clutch transmission and wider power band of the porsche will probably make a difference.

Besides the guy is just wondering a simple question. I don't see you offering any even remotely useful input. Where as I have at least offered a vauge idea.
