Aren't the 968/S2 MO30 calipers the same size as the later 944T/928S4 medium blacks?
I believe they might well be, then there's even bigger ones called 'big reds' that I think are used on some upgrade kits.Milesp99 said:
Hi Falkster,
Your 968 used to belong to my neighbour in Fulham (well his partner). It wasn't M030 back then so unless someone has upgraded it should be standard.
Comfort seats etc, it sounds like a bit like a Sport. Nothing wrong with that, as long as it was the right price.Your 968 used to belong to my neighbour in Fulham (well his partner). It wasn't M030 back then so unless someone has upgraded it should be standard.

that’s a coincidence. I tried the ‘finger test’ and mine fit down the vents of the discs so unless standard ones are very wide it must have been upgraded since their ownership.Your 968 used to belong to my neighbour in Fulham (well his partner). I seem to remember looking through the pack and seeing a few London based invoices - if they had the alloys refurbed at huge expense, it was the worst refurb I’ve ever seen. Run marks, partial coverage - it’s never been urgent but that’s getting done this year. It’s probably only got about 1000 miles more than when they had it.

How can you tell it's a CS?
I’d been searching for a long time and had heard a lot of stories about Sports badged up as CS but also CS that had a few creature comforts put back in. I’m sure there’s a few threads on here too. I’m remember reading when they were new there were a few dealers that were trying to get more money for CS so they added a few things to them and selling them as Sports as the Sports were a lot more at the time. Mine has comfort seats, electric windows and a radio with 2 speakers but rear seat delete, boot release toggle, rear wiper delete, smaller alternator but most importantly Porsche confirmed the chassis number was CS before I bought it WPOZZZ967ZRS815001-5536 - 1994 Rest of the world Club Sport chassis numbers.

I didn't think it was possible to differentiate between a CS and a Sport from the chassis number?
You could be right as I think all Sports started out as CS's in fact. However some CS's did have comfort seats and other options fitted, the fact that it has the manual boot release and smaller alternator points to CS for sure.
I've never heard of a Sport being re-fitted with these particular items to try and convert it back to a CS.

When the difference between a CS and a Sport is many £1000's I wouldn't rule it out. As you say they both started out as CS's, so fitting Sport trim into a CS is effectively turning it into Sport. However some CS's did have comfort seats and other options fitted, the fact that it has the manual boot release and smaller alternator points to CS for sure.
