So my Scooby Forester is dying, long live the king etc and so im going to need a replacement for it.

Currently considering another Foz either XT (swap all the good parts onto it) or STI
Toerag V6 TDI Altitude (though not liking the potential costs)
First Gen Cayenne Turbo.

So my question is, would i be mad to consider one? What would the pitfalls or things to looks out for be?

Im going to look at google tonight and tomorrow to find out but my brains abit fried at the moment before someone starts.

Thanks

James

Totally different cars
Cayenne turbos a great cars, find a good one and take a test drive.
The SA is the best, around 2006. loads of power and a comfortable ride. if you find any faults either walk away of find out what it would cost to fix. water leaks from full sunroofs are an issue on older cars

Check if the water pipes in between the V have been fixed

Propshaft bearings vibrate / go
Water in electrics - pull out as many internal access panels as you can, and around rear screen
Rear washer pipes block, the connector pops off and floods

Check even tyre wear

Make sure the g'box fully works - they have a real low ratio box !
Check all electrics - fiddly and expensive to replace.

Bloody great car though !
