Let us know how you get on J - I too have heard 'scarcely-believe' stories here on the internet and im replacing that mediocre Bose woofer with a far better quality part - may affect a front wheel bearing claim ;-)
In the States it's illegal to void a warranty for a clearly unrelated reason "Warranties on consumer products are governed in the U.S. by a Federal statute known as the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act". We may need a test case here...

I have spoken to Porsche mate, a none factory part or even a factory part added to a car from another model will not be warranted, however it will not affect claims on items which are unrelated to this part. Thats fair enough.
