Surely the best option on a Macan would be PTS ?

It's one of the nicest looking SUVs, but I hardly ever see one and think, wow that looks really nice - because they are all in run-of-the-mill colours - blacks/greys/silvers/blues. Carmine looks good on the GTS models and Graphite can work, but there could be so many better options. Land Rover do the colour thing better than Porsche.
Mine is PTS...Sport Classic Grey. Granted not the most exciting and now Crayon is available people will think it’s Crayon but doesn’t have the brown/beige look Crayon does which I don’t like. Have the full leather too....interior is great.

Looking to buy a second hand Macan asap for around the £50k mark (petrol only)

What’s the view of S v GTS v Turbo? Only 20bhp difference between S and GTS so not convinced of the cost/value of GTS (which are 5k more) esp as turbos are similar price.

Other half is fussy on colour so it’s black or grey only.

Spec wise I want 21” turbo wheels (popular) or 21” sport classic and the black window trim, front and rear parking (all seem to have) and memory seats (as me and missus will share car)

It’s our only car and will only do 3-4k per year

Is air suspension or PASM a must?

You will get the cost difference and possibly more back from the GTS when you come to sell. Its a no brainer IMHO unless there is something about the GTS that you cannot live with. A Dolphin Grey GTS is a smart looking car.

From my experience I'd certainly want Air & PASM on a Macan. More comfort and more driving modes. And, with 21" wheels, you will definitely benefit from it. Personally I wouldn't go above 20".

I've just started looking into pre owned Macan's £35-40k(max) to buy later this year, would be a keeper for 2-3yrs, approx 10k miles per yr. Head and various reviews are saying Diesel but why are there so many out there that don't seem to be shifting?

Is it the whole scaremongering around the diesel thing in general and that they will possibly be worth nothing in the near future?

Don't really want a 2.0L, should I dismiss the Diesel (and the obvious torque & MPG benefits) over the thirstier 3.0L petrol?

Diesels are prone to issues with DPF unless you are doing the long steady runs. Don't dismiss the 2.0 its plenty quick enough and has better fuel consumption than the S

My Turbo PP with Air PASM has 21” wheels and I also have a set of 18” winter wheels....the ride is not discernibly worse with the 21’s...it’s really pretty good and quite a marginal difference.

That looks bloody ace, but missus insists on black or grey, saw a nice turbo at weekend and waiting game to see if they agree to my bid

Still in the market for a GTS or Turbo if someone on here selling privately. Not in a huge rush but have cash in place for right car

Wow absolutely love that colour! I was always a fan of the red on GTS models but this pips above it now!
I will certainly wait for this colour when I come to buy a Macan GTS in a few months

Thanks for all the kind comments. I agree with Carmine Red, I had one of those before the current one and that was stunning too but like you I think Voodoo pips it.

I take the credit for democratising Voodoo Blue in the UK with my GT3 smile

Few would have dared back then.. but in the flesh.. it was just astonishing indeed. I had a little knee weakness moment before they took the veil off in the dealership the day I went to collect it.. smile but then it was all worth it.

Are you selling your Macan GTS ?

I saw a 911 three or four years ago, I think at Goodwood but honestly can't remember and asked the owner what colour it was and he said Voodoo Blue. It has been my grail colour ever since.

When I saw mine in the flesh for the first time I was gobsmacked and knew immediately that I'd made the right decision. As for selling it, Its only 8 months old, covered 2.5k miles so far, is pretty highly spec'd and I had intended keeping it for a quite a while but if someone made me an offer that was hard to refuse, anything's possible ;-)
