I believe the UK CS' were specified with Sunroof ... I have seen LHD CS's without.
Quite handy I'd say if no A/C
Porsche were on their arse. When the sans sunroof bodies ran out, it stopped being an option.

don't know, people are telling me to do the work because I'd get more than my money back but tbh Mini's have taken my interest again since it's been stashed and I bought another to finish.... but then I got hit rather hard while riding my MV and a helicopter ride to hospital for a couple of weeks, so even this sat about for 18 months now haha. I guess the 68 will perhaps get some sort of cover, as yet undecided if to start storing 'bits' for if/when it does get attention, or take it somewhere I have access to farm storage.

The Mini will get done first I expect unless I get offers for stuff I have sitting about. I do miss driving it but we move on, I did tell people it would sit indefinitely if I kept getting foolish offers years ago but did at least put it in to get done, then started doing other things when the shop didn't get the welder they wanted to do what was necessary and there it sat since with nobody that motivated to do anything with it yet ;O(

@kingroon Did you only buy the car 6 months ago or have I misread that?

Yep, 6 months of ownership frown

I was renting a Garage on a long term basis from a neighbour, but her "live abroad for a few years" plan didn't pan out and so she's back, and needs the Garage.. My mechanic has loaned me his spare garage as temporary storage until the 968 Sport is sold..

Hey blade7, sorry if that twists your melon, but it's just a figure of speech.. Good job you don't live in France; all Cars are referred to as "elle" over there..

Okay, don't know what you mean by Aznavour, but anyways, like I said, it's just a figure of speech..

It’s the same with all vaguely interesting modern classic though.

I’d love a 968, or Z3MC, or 190E 2.5-16 etc etc, but not loving the current prices.

I darent even look at 190s: they used to cost £1,500-£3,000 for okayish cars (now being sold as 'mint etc'.

Well, if someone on here fancies a 968 Sport, I'm willing to talk offers upon viewing because, as my advert states, I am out of permanent space for it; and soon to me out of the temporary space I've been loaned..

I’m just a spectator but @kingroon if you are looking for a quick sale, at a quick glance yours looks a bit £high compared to for example this one:

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

I have no connection just that’s a sport with 101k miles and <£16k

I'm currently looking for one, and I'd agree. The high entry point on the ad has put me off getting in contact kingroon.
The car also sounds a bit unloved in the ad - photos aren't very good for a buyer (not bad photos, but I'd prefer them to be more factual than arty) and you don't seem clear on the exact miles. Just saying, and trying to be helpful.

The silver car at c.15 or the Steve Bull with the mods for sub 20 are on my list.

Hi,

Thanks for the constructive comments, hugely appreciated..

I have added some other photos to the Listing, I shall get out and take some more at the weekend, most notably of the interior and etc. I have also updated the mileage [perhaps I was a bit flippant].

The car hasn't been unloved, in fact it is quite the opposite, it has just had a few of the smaller jobs overlooked over the years, which for me made a great starting point.

As for price, well, all I can say is what I paid for it + the work I had done + insurance + garage rental = £18,500, so forgive me if I try to get out of the car for free.. As I said, I am in a bit of a situation with the 968 Sport, so am willing to negotiate on price. I'll probably take a hit on this one, I can almost feel it already.. I had intended on owning it for much longer, but circumstances are out of my control.

968s need inside the sill pictures to sell now, unless the buyer is a fool. 968s are no less prone to corrosion than 944s were and many have outer, inter and inner sill corrosion.

The difference is that you can see it and, of course, people kid themselves that theye in some way superior - they arent. An aquaintances 968 Sport looks clean and straight, but it needs hours and hours of welding. He knows exactly what it requires as he is a specialist and he has just spent two weeks restoring my 944 Turbo.

Sadly, the market has pretty much died. If I were to apply the logic to my 996 I'd be 10k out of pocket over 2 years, but thankfully I'm not selling at the moment. I guess it doesn't matter if you're buying to keep, but you've unfortunately been put in the position where you need to get rid. Given the silver car at 15 that hasn't exactly been snapped up, I guess you're looking at a chunk less to step out? A bit painful but worse things have happened I'm sure.

I might have read it wrong though - be good to see how the market responds.

Yeah maybe..

I fear I may have under sold my 968 Sport anyways.. I checked thru the Folder of Receipts, Invoices & MOTs, etc. last night, it's inches thick.. And checked in on it to verify the Mileage.. **Thunk** goes that Driver's Door shut..

I had a chat with my Mechanic [who is storing it, covered, in his spare garage at the moment] and he suggested renting somewhere a little out of town until I can find somewhere more local, so I'm going to look into that option.. Means I won't get to drive it for a while, but hey, at least I get to keep it..

Anyways, feel a little nervy that I have hijacked this Thread..!
