Panamera? A swear word?

That’s amazing....the Panamera looks so much wider when you sit in the cabin than either of the others. And I’d never say there’s so little between the Macan and Cayenne....and we’ve got one of each!
My gripe is that the Macan isn’t small enough compared to the Cayenne. My wife has a Freelander ll which is plenty big enough, a Macan is 7” longer and Disco Sport whilst only 4” longer is 6” wider! unbelievable. Suppose we’ll have top look at VW/Audi for a full time 4x4 small SUV (yes she off roads on a regular basis).

I’d imagine Q5 and the VW equivalent would be same platform/very similar to Macan. I do not want a car 6” wider in my life, that’s ridiculous. Must be the bonnet that makes the Macan so big because interior and boot space are not great. I am just over 6ft and there’s not room for an adult to sit behind me.

How do you think the boot space compares on the Panamera ST and Cayenne ? I need to take a good look at the former but seems to be like it’s narrower.
Big difference- the ST has a distinctive roof slope to there is much less room to stack luggage than the Cayenne. The floor space is ok and is is basically a hatchback rather than an estate car. For instance, my Great Dane can comfortable travel in the back of the Cayenne, but has no chance at all in the Panamera. The seats do fold though for occasional larger items.Edited by RDMcG on Sunday 10th March 21:12

I went from 997 c2S to Panamera turbo S 2 very different cars. 911 much smaller and easier to throw around but the panamera shocked me into how good it is on flowing A roads. One of my best drives was the cat and fiddle pass in the panamera. the interior of the panamera better than 997 on par with 991. both great cars but i would say scratch the 911 itch first and then get the panamera.

Lovely that (wheels not for me), amazing job by Porsche to transform that pig ugly rear into something that looks great. Gen 2 saloon slightly better than Gen 1 to be fair and interiors are lovelyGassing Station | Front Engined Porsches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
