The Porsche Cayenne Coupe has been unveiled in Stuttgart. The new BMW X6 rival hits European dealerships in May with the choice of two turbo petrol engines: a 3.0-litre V6 with 250kW and 4.0-litre V8 with 404kW. A plug-in petrol-electric hybrid will be added later this year

Just watched the launch vids on YouTube for this, I've got to say I really like it as a family wagon.

The wife's Disco goes back next year, one of these is a very tempting replacement.

How is that a coupe? It’s got four doors

So basically it’s a cayenne with less rear headroom and better looks - sure it will sell well and cost a bit more

Correct, thought Cayennes were for carrying stuff, people, dogs and a bit of towing with some off road ability. Least thats why I bought mine.
Sad to see them following the trendy market as Merc and BMW.

Yeah I bought my Cayenne for carrying the family, dog and occasionally a load of luggage...this just makes it a but less practical. That said there’s clearly a market for these things,

I saw a Q8 yesterday...it’s chuffing massive. The frameless doors seem a tad incongruous on a car that big. Mind I really am not a fan of the way Audi’s styling is going.

Not sure if correct, but I read on another thread (I think it migh have been also about this car) that the word Coupe derives from the French cut and therefore technically all cars that are cut in length or height are coupes

So it's a big, (top-)heavy, spacious car cut down to make a big, (top-)heavy, less-spacious car.

Astonishing idea.

You can have a 5 seat option. Standard is two ‘sports’ seats in the rear but you can specify a bench seat which gives a third seat.

Every days a school day, would still argue only a marketing department would think of that car as a Coupé

Plenty of Q8's being driven gingerly around town. Their fatness seems very easy to donk a panel or three

Surely that’s the Macan design put through the photocopier at 110% enlargement, but the pricelist seems to have been put through at 150%

But not with the "lightweight sports pack" which gives the 4 x houndstooth/ leather seats - clicking the 2+1 rear bench seat then removes the pack from the configurator.

Ah didn’t check it to that detail. I love the houndstooth in the lightweight sports pack but have ended up with nearly £19k in options with that pack which is feeling a bit toppy to me having an £81k base Cayenne.

Stripped the pack off and I’m down to £71k.

First world dilemmas!!
