Cayenne Turbo

I've put a deposit down on a 2016 Turbo. Looking to complete soon.

I can't help but think these cars also just seem to shed £££ and is worrying.

What is it with Porsche cars... they lose so much money.

some Porsche do, some dont.

KN Turbo is probably in the 'do' bucket

GT2RS in the 'dont' bucket... for example

I ran a KN turbo for a couple of years - did over 60 K in it.
I bought cheap (privately) and probably spent a couple of K on it over the 2 years.
traded it in against a hybrid KN from an OPC at nearly what I paid for it.

You clearly enjoy the KN experience. Why did you sell the KN Turbo after a few years? You said you spent a few K on it.. what happened?

From my experience they lose a lot more than other similar cars from other brands

Just changed my 2015 for a new one, got what I feel was a good PX price.

From people I know with RR etc they lose a lot more than you do with the Cayenne

I am looking to own it for 4 years. I would like to think in 4 years it would be worth £40k in a private sale. I see 2013 cars, as in 6 years old, for approx £40k now.

That’s a great price for a 2017 car...I am not sure it will be worth £40k in 4 years. That implies OPC’s would be asking at least £50k for a six year old car. Don’t see that personally as that’s a 50% residual.

Drive it and enjoy it !

About 9 months, has only done 30k miles and had a 2yr Porsche warranty. My Mrs loves it and says it’s the best car we’ve ever owned. I hardly drive it but it’s impressive when I do.

I think for a 2015 year car the depreciation works out to be approximately £6k p.a? Is that a fair estimation.

So a 2013 KN turbo, not particularly well specced, is up for £39k. I guess you're right.

Might get away with £35k for a private sale for a 2013 year.

Other folks, private and dealers, have 2012 models for 35k.

I'm trying to calculate my cost in depreciation.

What mpg do you guys get and what year are your cars?

I also think someone worried about depreciation and mpg when buying a Cayenne Turbo would suggest they’re buying the wrong car.

I averaged 19 mpg
had a few electrical gremlins, nothing big though - window regulator failed
did the water pipes in the V as a precautionary measure - about £1500 from OPC from memory
other than tyres (had a set of winters too as I lived remote) that was all

The 19mpg is on the pre-facelift cars.

I read on a post by Dickie that he was getting an average of 25mpg which seems quite remarkable. He had a 2015+ model.

You’ll struggle to get 25 from a 997 turbo, my non turbo Cayenne 4.8S did 16-17, got 20 on a run if lucky.

25mpg from a Turbo seems remarkable....maybe at a steady 60 mph but that’s amazing in varied driving

I've just bought a 2016 Cayenne Turbo S - changed from a 2016 Cayenne D - I am looking forward to the change of driving experience

It's a fully loaded car as you'd expect with a TS, but unfortunately the original owner did not spec the Sports Exhaust - so I'm looking for suitable options to make it sound better and release that 4.8l V8 sound

SE really doesn't make much difference on the 4.8 Turbos (especially inside the car).
