Hey,

Weird one with the S2. After the battery went flat it now won't start.

Background is, the car has an aftermarket Toad Sterling alarm installed by the previous owner. Last year it stopped locking the door locks properly (central locking by fob), but it unlocks ok via the fob and also central locking works if pulling the passenger door pin up. The fob seems to disarm the system also.

But, now nothing happens when I turn the key (after disarming with the fob). I hear the alarm box apparently disarming, there's a chorus of relays. But when the key turns, nothing.........................

I've had a look and tested the DME after reading a forum post on chekcing the resistance between various pins when applying 12V. I've also created a jumper from some copper and jumped the 3 pins and put the DME back in, where I hear a noise, presuming that's the fuel pump.

I can only assume it's the aftermarket immobiliser at this point unless there are any better things I can try?

Investigate the solenoid on the end of the starter motor. My S2 developed a random no start or not turning over issue many years ago. Thought it was the Immob and had it replaced to no avail. Turned out to be a faulty solenoid.
