Hi,
I'm considering entering the world of older 911's by purchasing a late 1973 911 2.7.

Can anybody recommend a decent Indy for looking after this vintage of 911 around the N.Staffs/Cheshire/Derbyshire/Lancs area.

Cheers.

Unit Eleven in Warrington 01925 852000. John & Danny have huge experience of the aircooled cars and their rates are very reasonable.

yes
What he said ^^^^

They looked after my air cooled race cars with 100% reliability and have prep'd and look after lots of air cooled historic rally cars, and built a Singer-a-like bespoke car for a Hong Kong client with lots of specialised bits being engineered as a one off for it, so they've seen and done most things to most air-cooled models, and know what tweeks may be worthwhile considering (and which are a waste of time) - that sort of knowlege is very valuable for long term ownership too.

The front-of-house won't be the most impressive you've ever seen (but then you're not paying for it either), but they definitely know what they're doing in the workshops.

Thanks guys, Warrington isn't too far.

Not definitely made my mind up yet about the 1973 911; I could still be tempted by a 'mint' 993 coupe, if only I could find one, like hens' teeth at present.

Tony Greatorex does my service and work and I know does for many in South Manchester/Cheshire area. I run a 3.2 and he runs a 2.7 race car himself so well versed in the older cars as well as the new stuff.
