It’s a mystery to me why so many of these car builds get sold with a few hundred miles on the clock. Massive cost over run’s so they have to sell or they just don’t live up to the dream ?

Nice car though and an opportunity. I imagine that car may have perhaps cost more than its asking price to build? Hadn't realised its a backdate was fooled by the 72 oil filler cap. Its really an SC

Whilst cars like this are very pretty, and a lot of care (and money) may have gone into it, what exactly is it? A Porsche or a ‘bitza’ ?
And, a £110,000? In the current global crisis?

I think if you change your perspective to its simply a cool car to drive around in then asking price for what looks like an old new car isn't maybe not so crazy. It will be interesting to see how quickly not only this back date sells but also the time warp G50 targa at 911 Virgin which has perfect provenance condition.

Visiting Von Schmidt:

Epic interior of this Von Schmidt 5 car.

About one month before the presentation of the Von Schmidt 5 car.

Frank does bespoke 964 backdates and the quality stands out.
This car was recently sold. VS 4 is for sale at PCG.

Personally I like this one, good price as well for such built at 99k euro (86k gbp)

with kevlar parts etc and based on a lovely 964 engine around 300hp no sunroof and ala 2.8 RSR

more, sadly low qualitative pictures

Check Twinspark: under 100k outlaw yum. They also import and sell Singer for the Benelux.

I drove this self build: excellent drive and very quick. A bit noisy though.

I really don’t like the backdate look...don’t really know why. Much prefer it when someone has say put RS or ST arches on say an early 70’s 911 E.

This 2.2 S is quite something. Dutch R Gruppe in ST guise.

This thing explodes past 5k.

Baby got stance.

Delicate. The US 2010 GT3 is not modified.

A quick shot from that GT3:

TwinSpark riot and a driver to match. I like it when guys choose their own lines. In a car like this you have to.
