Nice car lee, I'm sure you'll get it tip-top in no time at all, don't believe a word about keeping it standard though!
Strange craic about the other guy eh? Reminds me of some other weirdo who used to post on here he started a thread about someone's car being a cut & shut too after they declined his offer on the car when it was nothing of the sort.
Wonder what happened to the fella? Can't believe he doesn't own a 911 anymore, it's a bit dull without him though you'd be 'ard pushed to find a stranger chap.
Still, takes all sorts I suppose
Yeah be careful Lee as you'll also get other freaks trying to lowball you for the car if you ever come to sell it ??Strange craic about the other guy eh? Is this the guy that slagged off 996 gt3's and kept on going on about Cayman R's being better?

Magna you post in very similar places to Trantorman. Both about classic Range Rovers and 993's and Trantorman owns a 993 and sells classic Range Rovers.
Such a coincidence!
Happy to post all emails if anyone else has any doubts.
Classic! Maybe I should ask for some RR advice. Such a coincidence!

MrDemon! Last seen causing havoc in the watches forum I believe-has moved on to wild proclamations about forthcoming cayman GT4s from what I've read in this forum. Now he was a funny guy....Is this the guy that slagged off 996 gt3's and kept on going on about Cayman R's being better?

This is your side of the story. Would be interested to here the other guys.
I find it hard to believe someone would go to that effort to put someone off buying. If they really wanted the car surely there are better ways to ensure they get it.
Agree with the lesson though of always doing your own research especially in this world of the forum armchair experts.

The fact is that if someone posts up a question about the history of a car, then responses do need to be careful if you are then saying it is a crash damaged car. The car doesn't have any accident history on the insurance database, but as we know many times cars are settled without classification as well. That said a car that has been properly repaired should not cause a worry. lots of track day events are covered under separate insurance schemes that if there is any accident, does not get recorded. not many cars that are plus 20 years old that have not had panels or paint at some point.
This car is very nice, needs only minimal work. Certainly seems to be have been well looked after, especially give the money that has been spent on it in recent years including engine build etc.
congrats on the car.

And he was only pointing out that you should be careful buying a second hand rolex as most need a £1k refresh!911dullard said:

Bit of a random attack no? Do you actually own a Porsche ?
FYI, no Porsche these days, does that mean I can't play anymore? give a skint guy a break eh

Absolutely you keep playing mate, Porsche or no PorscheLee, cracking looking car, congratulations.
Whilst they do look good on the 18" speedline wheels, there are a real PITA to keep clean and stop them corroding.
They do drive better on the 17" Cups though.
Enjoy mate, good to see you back in the fold
