I have no issues with either. In fact I have a lhd 911 in the UK, and often use a rhd car in Europe.
Collectable models are often more valuable in lhd due to the bigger global market. However, I would say, in the UK, something more mainstream like an SC/3.2 would be preferred in rhd.
Couple of things though:
- I had an SC and a 3.2 Carrera and much preferred the Carrera (esp G50)
- The driving position in the lhd 911s is better, and the 915 g/b is nicer to operate from the lhs.

Having had both, I would opt for LHD over RHD. The driving position is much more comfortable, without a significant pedal offset in the RHD.
They are narrow cars with a good turn of speed even by modern standards, so overtaking is never a major issue. The only headache is at car park barriers etc

Totally agree with this in the older cars. I have a LHD aircooled and a RHD Watercooled and jumping between the to never seems odd but perfectly natural given the way they driveThey are narrow cars with a good turn of speed even by modern standards, so overtaking is never a major issue. I think it's very easy to transfer cars between European countries so no real value issues.
Except to say that there tend to be fewer RHD cars and for the collectibles market the RHD customer base is coming up very strongly --- and to observe that Europe is far less concerned about high mileage, I guess for the obvious reason that road journeys in Europe can be very much longer !
