Yep, correct. Valve stem between two spokes and the valve stem on the yellow sticker on the inner rim (only to see if the tyre is off). Picture with the compressor.

That really does look the mutts.
What's the story with the spoiler. Is it from a Turbo S?

Hahaha, I hadn't noticed that, the wheels where refurbished in around 2000.

The rear spoiler is a standard item, with the rubber part smoothed out and painted, it looks great like it, the door handles were also painted yellow too.

How do you go about insuring it bearing in mind the current value of a 3.6?

I tried to get an up too date official valuation recently to enable me to increase the insurance value but was unable to do so. The guy I had used previously was not prepared to do a valuation up to these current values. Are you encountering a similar problem? At present my 3.6 is insured to a value of 150k.

It would seem you need 200k to go and find a replacement ATM, so, that would need to be your valuation, shirley?

Its amazing how much value these cars have gained in such a short space of time and the rise has been disproportionate to the rest of the Porsche world, for me to buy one know I would need to sell both my 993 tt's. its not so long ago a 993tt was always worth more than them.

If anyone is looking to sell and would like a 993tt in P/E or a straight sale I would be interested in talking.

Did you have to provide a written valuation to your insurance company?

I asked 'Porsche expert' for valuation recently and got a stupidly low figure. Maybe some are ignorant of the market or want to try and keep lid on it. However Google Porsche valuation and you should easily find an expert to give a realistic value after submitting all the details and photos for £35. I had a £200k valuation accepted by insurance company without quibble. Probably need to redo it every few months if things continue...

I used Peter Morgan @ Peter Morgan Consulting for my previous valuation which was 150k. I recently asked him for a new up to date valuation based on the current market and he declined. Currently my car is insured for 150k so i do need a new valuation.

I had similar experience and looked around for alternatives. John Glynn (www.porschevaluations.com) has done 2 valuations for me now and was very helpful and knowledgeable. I use Classicline and they accepted the valuations without question. There are others out there as well e.g. Williams Crawford who I've heard are very good.

I did wonder if market value was a better option given values are rising so fast. But after talking to valuers and insurance company an agreed value at least gives peace of mind you won't be arguing with them if the worst happens and can always update in few months.

We all must think of this from time to time, is there a price you have told yourself you would be tempted to sell at?
