A few Porsche references on Channel 5's Classic Car Show this evening, including an interview with Magnus Walker in LA.

Sorry - got his name wrong in thread title and cannot edit it.

I thought Magnus was even more annoying...almost as bad as that awful Jodie Kidd.

Torturing the SL around a track - looked painful! Didn't get the point?

She always appears utterly fake and wooden. Agreed, definitely can't present.

Sometimes he comes across as being very genuine, other times completely disingenuous. I'm trying to like him, but I really don't get the mass hysteria and hype over him or his cars confused

Caught the episode by accident. My missus watches Home and Away(!) and left it on CH5 so happened to see it. I enjoyed it, but Quentin is annoying and i also felt really sorry for that poor, beautiful Pagoda getting ragged around the track.

Overall, like the concept. Is it fairly new?

Going back to Quentin, you can see how difficult it would be to to replace Clarkson. He may rub some up the wrong way, but Quentin is another level when it comes to irritating and contrived attempts to be funny.

I watched the show for the first time last night. I couldn't quite believe how awful Jodie Kidd is at presenting......funny looking bird, too!

I think poor old Walker was so heavily scripted, he looked too scared to go 'off-piste'....the bit at the end....'It's been emotional....' ...jesus, I could have thrown up.

I shall be tuning in next week!!!

If you think he's annoying on the telly, get a quote from his warranty company and see how quickly the constant badgering winds you up wink

+1 constant texts and emails and calls from them advertising special offers and they came in with a quote for £1700 for my car. Dream on.
