944 turbos in the UK

Whilst driving down the road here in Aus the other day I spied a nice looking 944 turbo.

I was curious to see what these go for in the UK and - much to my surprise - I noticed that there were hardly any of these available for sale.

Lots of cheap NA models...but very few turbo models.

Were these not sold in large quantities in the UK in the 80's and 90's?
