Who builds the best outlaw 911 in the UK

I also like this sort solution, were the exhaust tips come out a bit higher and a bit placed in the chassis, looks good me thinks.
its a example from 911-retro-works.co.uk
You see, to me that just looks obscene. There's no need for that wide a track unless it's running 400bhp+ and I know it won't be. The skirts are too low which is why the cutouts are there for the tailpipes. Retroworks have made some pretty cars, but they've made a lot of mingers too with massive arches and extended bumpers to cover the 964 underpinnings.its a example from 911-retro-works.co.uk
Singer get it right because all of their panels are bespoke. Whacking some ST arches and some fibreglass one-piece bumpers on does not make for a pretty car. In my opinion, anyway.

Yup...shoving massive track width and tyres on a car and having a relatively tame engine driving them means that whilst it might look good it won’t drive well. The worst things is you’re adding unnecessary weight in the worst place possible.
Sorry cheib, they can drive very well with a standard 3.2 or 3.0,and be great fun with loads of grip.Cheib said:

So?As much as I respect everyone's personal taste, it's absolutely that - personal taste. I personally think it looks great! And that's why these 'outlaw' builds are done primarily - for looks. If you really were building a car to 'drive great' then surely it would be drive-focused and no give a rat's about the looks?
To me, cars are like food - the first bite is with the eye. Wide track or not, these cars are not going to be slow or handle badly. Ultimately they are still a 911. This is a FAR cry from someone making their 1.0 Corsa look like a rally car.

For me the best looking (road going) 911’s are the narrow body cars. I’d (far!) rather have a narrow body with 400 bhp than a turbo body with 300. Which is why I’m making one, albeit not air cooled.
very interesting. How do you get tyres that can handle 400bhp in a narrow body car? And how do you get a non-aircooled motor in?Cheib said:

I'd be happy with any 911, or even a 912.
Singer do get the whole arch / wheel thing just right though.
This is Rob Dickinson’s hotrod he built for himself which was the genesis for Singer....love it. Based on a 69 car...hence ht plate. Think it has a 3.0 engine in it. Singer do get the whole arch / wheel thing just right though.

Looks great. Especially like the unusual colour combo, although wouldn't be my own choice. Any interior pics?
Here you go (credit Total 911)...I live it especially the mid matched seats which is something you could order from the factory in period.Love this very high quality 964....looks almost totally standard. I did think for a while last year of buying a high mileage 964 RS that needed some TLC and doing something similar. RSR engine, updates suspension etc,
I kind of think 964 RS is Porsche’s own hot rod....apart from the lowered suspension looks very much like a standard 911 to the uninitiated.
