964 Replacement Front Fog Lamp

Hi All,

Am in the process of doing some restoration work on my 1990 C4 Cab and one of the items that needs replacing is the lens on the O/S front fog lamp - can anyone tell me whether I can just replace the glass cover, or do I need to replace the whole unit ? Also, any tips on a good place to source this part would also be much appreciated !

Have you got the parts catalogue from Porsche Classic, you can just download it, it would be a good place to start.

Your local OPC is also a good place to start, at least to get a baseline price. They are surprisingly often the cheapest place for parts.

Thanks, I'll have a look at that for the part number. Also, would the O/S (UK car) be classified as the right or left lamp by Porsche ?

The part number is 964 631 204 01 (R).

Hi Part number on PET is 964.631.204.00 not superseded on my system,to the 01 number, but the cost is shown as £352.12.

I would contact Eurocarparts of try any Bosch dealers in your area.

Thanks guys. Looking on the exploded parts diagram, it looks like the light is one unit and the glass isn't separate, so I'll try my local Porsche dealer first and then expand out from there if needed.

Car is in having some paintwork done next door to the dealer, so no excuse not to stop in there when I go and pick it up !
