928 S + S2 on Teledial wheels?
Discussion
944 teledial might fit, but as stated above, are the wrong offset. Although I believe some of the late 944 turbo wheels are the correct rear offset (cup2s?).
There was an option of ET65 16" teledial, M401, so there may be wheels out there somewhere.
Probably easiest to stick to 15" and get the ride height correct.
M401 Wheel - Cast Aluminum Alloy, Telephone Design, Rim 7 x16 , Tire 225/50VR-16

Thanks 928.
I found this on the PCGB website: "1978 MY:... 16-inch 'telephone dial' cast alloys on 5-speed manual versions with 15-inch alloys on 3-speed automatic gearbox option."
Part number for the 7x16-inch 928 Teledial: 928.361.016.00
Assuming the above is correct, would there be any reason you couldn't run the 16-inch 928 Teledial wheels on an automatic instead of a manual?
Thanks again.

That's not an S2. It's not an S. I thought it was a typo on another thread of yours talking about a 1982 S2, but you don't seem to know what your car is. It's a Porsche 928 and a very lovely looking one, but it's not an S (unless backdated to look like a non-S) or an S2. Re: your thread about looking for someone to restore it mechanically; if you've spoken with potential restorers about your S2 you've given them the wrong info, and there are several differences between the cars. If you've been quoted or advised by anyone I suggest you give them a call and clear that up.And I dare say they are 15 inch teledials.

No difference in suspension between manual and auto, so no reason you couldn't run them if you can find them. I found this on the PCGB website: "1978 MY:... 16-inch 'telephone dial' cast alloys on 5-speed manual versions with 15-inch alloys on 3-speed automatic gearbox option."

If you meant you wanted to better fill the arches by getting tyre closer to the arch then I think S4s had spacers which might be useable, 7" x 15" or 16" are going to look the same from the rear.
Thanks for all the useful information. I will try and track down a set of the 16-inch 928 Teledial's.
I am also looking for a mint Automatic 928 S or S2 with no sunroof, original book pack and no more than around 60,000 miles. If anyone has such a car please drop me a line.
Thanks again.
