Hi thanks for the reply
I have looked at this already but it doesn’t allow you to pick the pitch of the thread unless I’m missing something and certain sizes come with certain threads

Have you asked your local dealer's parts department?
Which bolts is it you want?
I hadn’t even considered this option but I will certainly look into thisWhich bolts is it you want?
Bolts required
Caliper bolts, trailing arm, engine mounts, rear wheel bearing cover, etc
I ordered some of these from a well known Porsche parts supplier but they came galvanised

Does anyone know where I can buy the above bolts from preferably in the uk I am currently detailing the rear end of my 83 Porsche Sc whilst the engine is out and would really like to use the factory spec, colour at least bolts.
Just use all the original fasteners and have the zinc and yellow, at a plating shop.A good fastener supplier may be able to source fine pitch stuff that you need.
If you are stuck, PM me.
Forget what these previous guys are saying about they don't do Zinc and Yellow passivate anymore, we have 100 of jobs been zinc & yellow plated every week being a precision engineering company.
Depending on where you are but we use a few companies in Sheffield, Northern Blacking Co. and John Street platers.
If it's just a few then Northern blacking the cheapest.

Please, don't go to your OPC to buy bolts, don't give them more reason to rob you than they are probably doing so already. Which bolts is it you want?
You'll find stacks of bolt suppliers through a Google search. Measure you're existing ones and make sure you get the same strength as fitted - each bolt will have a number on it's head indicating it's strength such as 8.8, 10.9 etc.
Any size, thread pitch, strength, coating etc etc you could ever need will be out there.
Good luck.

Why don't you just send the factory bolts off to be re-plated? My mate does this with his rebuilds.
You could potentially cause further Hydrogen embrittlement to the bolts by having them replated which may cause them to fail. Also a lot of places that do plating have a Minimum order charge so it may be cheaper just to source new bolts/screws. I'd try ringing someone like GR Fasteners and see if they can source some for you.dean1057 said:

I am sorry, but you seem to mis-understand the issue at heart here. The OEM Porsche bolts are not ZINC plated, but CADMIUM. The former as you rightly say, is available pretty much anywhere and you can even do it at home with a kit bought on the web/eBay. The latter is not allowed anymore, except in the Aerospace industry due to environmental issues. Cadmium plating is much more durable than Zinc...Depending on where you are but we use a few companies in Sheffield, Northern Blacking Co. and John Street platers.

I restore Porsches and other classics from bare metal so I am well aware of the "problem"...
We supply into the VW / Bentley group and majority of there's are now Zinc/ nIckel plated ( similar salt spray hours of the cad plating) or high moisture / salt spray areas they go for Zinc flake coating. Zinc Nickel is tested at around 500hours before red rust, where as Zinc & yellow pass plate is around 100hrs.
Zinc Nickel plating is done at Karas Plating but they have a high minimum charge (£100) so you need to be sending as many as possible.
All depends if you use your car all year round.
