Oil change frequency for 964 C2 and which oil?
Discussion
At minimum every year, irrespective of mileage.
In my 993 I moved to 10W-40 about eight years ago, the heavier weight being better for air cooled which almost all invariably leak a little, and from what I understand 964's need this even more, though possibly a top end rebuild has been performed by now. I use magnatec, but oil's a very personal choice.

I change every 2 years and the oil comes out very nice. I have 3 young kids so only doing 1000miles a year. I think when these cars first came out it was a 2 year interval.
A high quality modern oil is fine being changed at 2 years for low mileage and my indi has done the same in the past on my cars. Of course nobody will ever buy your car off you if you ever come to sell if it has not been changed annually :- )Gassing Station | Porsche Classics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
