The last I saw it was at £47250 but that was with 22hours to go! As it was on P/heads at an asking price of a ball hair short of £80k I suspect it didn't get near his reserve!

I hope beyond hope, that isn’t stock load going to Singer or other restomodders to bastardise, and that it’s a group of owners transporting their cars for a road trip.

I must confess, I’m very cynical about 964 pricing.

£85k for a 32 year old, near 100k mls, lhd 964 ?
Poorly described - 2009 996 ? And exactly what ‘RS’ enhancements ?

Think of the contemporary sporting Porsches that this money would buy.

Agreed - just don't see how that's an £85k car......... It looks in nice condition in the pics, but it would need to be mint underneath.........(and then some).

When a nice 993 can be had significantly cheaper (and I prefer the looks of the 964), I think I would go that way.

The Swiss importer and dealer for Porsche at the time was AMAG AG not Mofag AG. They seem to only do Quads and Scooters nowadays. So already there, seems to be a grey import, rather than an official Swiss car.

I’m a sucker for 964, but they have become stupidly expensive. I used to look at them in the mid/early 00’s when they where the cheapest 911 at the time. A 993 is the better air-cooled 911 and cheaper. The 996 and 997 are again the better modern classic 911 and for the money good 964 are sold, you get some very good modern modern 911 too.

But then again, those 964 are just sooooo damn sexy cloud9

When I was in the market this summer a local Porsche Club member phoned me up to offer me his 981 GT4 and I just had not even a glimmer of interest in it! Too fast, too expensive to run,not nearly as diy'able as a 964 and I see Caymans all the time but it is such a rare event to see air cooled these days!
As a weekend toy 964 all the way for me! If you think they are too expensive do not look at what 356 or early 911's with crap gearboxes sell for as you will realise how cheap 964's are!

I just don't know what is happening with 964 pricing! 2 C2's have appeared on P/heads classifieds. 1 at £90k and the other at £94500. Does anyone believe cars are selling at these sort of prices?

This... is a lot of money.

I'm not sure if it's the same car that sold for 1.2 million a couple of years ago.

A 964 RS in Violet with 57,000 Miles original German market car that went to America last year, failed to meet its $ reserve @ $280,000 Dollars on an American site. The world has gone mad…..

"The offside rear wing, offside door... were resprayed in 2015."

Probably means minor accident damage and filler. Were any questions asked about that?

There is no mention of an engine rebuild, so it's probably due at that mileage. IMHO.

The driver's seat will need a refurb, so probably both seats at the same time.

The price, well it is what it is; it's certainly bucking the trend for falling classic car prices.

But is it 67k including the fees or 72k including the fees? (And why are UK fees higher than the rest of the world?)
