I just don't know what is happening with 964 pricing! 2 C2's have appeared on P/heads classifieds. 1 at £90k and the other at £94500. Does anyone believe cars are selling at these sort of prices?
Not yet...
I sold my 30k mile 964 C2 for £85k in 2014. Must be £120k today that car no?

Probably means minor accident damage and filler. Were any questions asked about that?

There is no mention of an engine rebuild, so it's probably due at that mileage. IMHO.

The driver's seat will need a refurb, so probably both seats at the same time.

The price, well it is what it is; it's certainly bucking the trend for falling classic car prices.

But is it 67k including the fees or 72k including the fees? (And why are UK fees higher than the rest of the world?)

All fair points.

I wonder how many of the cars at 90k have similar issues...

If I was paying 90k for a car with over 90k miles on it then I would want it to have had an engine rebuild from a well known and respected builder. Any 34 year old car could have any number of issues, especially rust. Maybe some accident damage, also a few minor mechanical issues.

I think the white car had a snapped headstud so a top end rebuild required.....

That snapped stud could quickly turn into a runaway 'while you're in there' 15k engine rebuild.

I didn't know snapped studs were an issue on 964's. Is it common or quite rare?

It happens, I wouldn't say its common but neither is it uncommon but it needs sorted as you can damage the barrels if left too long. At those mile the valve guides will be shot anyway so a rebuild is needed. Cost is very area dependent in my experience

Buying aircooled has always been a minefield, but it's just a much more expensive one now.

Usual buy and condition and get it inspected by a reputable specialist and have a contingency fund because there's always some work around the corner.

This needs to be in a museum or taken round car shows in a covered trailer.

Anyone fancy calling for the price?

Colour combo is not the nicest on a 964 (imo).

Black is fairly boring.
But I like the cream with black piping, with the contrasting dark carpet.

Classic combo. Surely can't be 30k 'worse' than a tin top if not tracking it

I believe Mr Harris is looking for around £130K.

16,800 miles C4

I can't believe the owner let Chris Harris review it in the rain. Should've let him drive it a few miles though, it's MOT'd.

In his defence, I’ve driven cars with old tyres that have little or nearly no grip, and it’s not advisable, especially in the wet.

As for the nonsense about the Blaupunkt Berlin, there’s six of them for sale on EBay Germany.

What's that about the wheels on CC, "flat disk"?
They're D90s aren't they?

Not D90’s they’re 928 wheels, and I’ve also seen them on US spec 944 Turbos too.

Edit to add link of US spec 944 Turbo with the same wheels fitted :

And fitted to 928’s :

So they would be the original pre-production wheels then?

Certainly interesting provenance if not strictly speaking rare.

Correct, they were fitted to pre-prod 964.
