Flat nose looks horrible. Save the pennies and take a standard 964 3..6 turbo.https://www.ashgood.co.uk/vehicle-details/Porsche-...

I like a 964 and I like the 968. no reason to put the front of one onto the other. Not a cohesive design.
And it gets worse in the interior. That cassette storage panel is hideous

I must admit, I love air-cooled Porsches, but flat-noses are gopping..
Glad someone else said it I think they're cool in an 80's / 90's kinda way, but compared to the classic 911 round headlights they just aren't pretty at all.

Having said that, I really like the look of a flatnose.
I've no idea how to square that circle.
Bumping this thread back to the top.
After a brief hiatus in the water cooled world, I’m back in the search for an air-cooled 911. Given that I’ve owned a G50 3.2 and a couple of 993s previously, it only seemed sensible to focus my attention on finding a 964 (C2 coupe of course).
Anyone have their finger on the pulse of current prices? I’ve looked at the usual sources but not found anything that really caught my eye. I welcome any suggestions or pointers.

Collecting Cars have recently sold a couple of well looked after/restored 964’s. CC is a good guide as to where the market is. £90k for a 964C2 with recent expenditure.
I would be a bit more conservative. 80K should be more than enough for a very good original car, or one that has all the work done. Go for the former if you can find one (there are a few Trigger's brooms out there and they are never as good to drive as a top notch original car).£90k for a 964 ?
For that I would expect all the important boxes to be ticked:
- Faultless, immaculate, original example
- Low mileage, low owners
- Impeccable FSH (ideally OPC or top indies)
- Desirable colour combo and spec.
Nice cars, but some might prefer a 993 or 3.2 G50 if it has to be a late ‘air-cooled’, but that money also gives huge choice from more recent models.

There is a 65000 mile c4 for sale that is £29'000 less than the above one on CC and has been owned for 22 years. The grey one above has a difference of opinion on the front chassis legs and some bent metalwork on the inner wings. Indeed the seller of the above must have thought all his Xmas had come at once!
