I'm just finishing my rsr inspired retro mod. I've spent an obscene amount of money on it and now realise standard insurance won't cut it. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have a heavily modified 997 CSR and also a classic 911 and I insure them them both with Lockton issurance. They are the official insurance partner of Porsche Club.

I have previously insured with Adrian Flux and found them very accommodating of modified cars.

Classicline also well worth a call. I have both my modified 997 Turbo S and M Coupe insured with them. Do agreed valuations(£25 for 2 years), cover official track days and give you European breakdown-cover included. My modified daily is insured with Adrian Flux who I also recommend. have never tried Locktons but have only heard good things as well.

Can we see the car please !!!

I use a broker called Nowell and Richards who someone on here recommended....they seem to specialise in the higher end insurance products. Have found them to be very good.

That was probably me - N&R have all my fleet including modified 911, GT-R and E Class Brabus. Have never been charged extra for mods except for where I've wanted the agreed value uplifted. Underwriter is currently Hiscox.

I have modded pair insured through Classic Line and A Manning UK. Both excellent agents.

Its getting a few final touches as there was a couple of bits I didn't like, for example the awful composite bonnet. Needs to go as you will never get a decent paint finish. I found a steel long bonnet so it's going in next week. The interior is also having a few changes. After a 2 year wait i want it to be perfect.

Fit and finish. I wanted an original long hood so there's no issues. The current hood has scarred me for life. Awful in every way.
