356 front vent window question.
Discussion
Hi all.
I am trying to source the chrome pivot bearings for the two front triangle vent windows on a 356 I am restoring.
Does anyone know if the one’s for the early 911 will fit as I am unable to find any made for the 356.
Alternatively if anyone knows where I can obtain the correct ones that would be even better.
Thanks

I would try someone like Prill. They’re among the best people in the country for 356’s and indeed all early Porsche’s. They also have a parts business.

Really should try Roger Bray. They know more than most and have spare parts.

Yes I have used Roger Bray for quite a few bits thanks.
I agree they are very good, but could not help with the parts in question.
Also enquired of design 911, who do have the parts for the older 911 and will supply them on a return basis if they are not compatible, which they are not sure either.
I may well end up taking that route.
Cheers Terry

Thanks for the great suggestions.
I have purchased a couple from Design 911 that are meant for the early 911,
They are not exactly perfect and it was a bit of a fiddle to fit them, but they are on the car now and look ok.
At least the windows are secure now, for when I do finally manage to get it on the road!
