I posted this on 911UK without any luck.

Im thinking of purchasing a pair of Corbeau sports seats for my 993. However Corbeau only show the rails and runner kit for the 964. I'm pretty sure the rail system (and so the captive nuts in the chassis are in the same position for both) are the same for the 964 and 993 but just need to confirm this. Unfortunately Corbeau doesnt know.

Anyone know for sure?

Many thanks smile

You keep telling me you already have decent seats in the oldest 993 in the world?

Seat choice on the 993 has been tasking me for ten years.

I no longer have to worry about putting children in the back, so now it's me me me.

I've read about one million threads on this, mostly on Rennlist. All the slightly different Recaros, with the mounting issues, and on and on and on...

Have you looked at the Cobra Nogaro? Seems to be a win-win in comfort vs weight. Also seems to fit the existing seatbelt positioning, and there are specific 993/964? runners as well.

If you fit into it. Are you a powerfully built company director?

I fitted 993 sports seats into a 944, from which I conclude that all classic era seats' runners are similar.

For clarity, these were similar to 911/964/944 Sports seats but with different covers.

A bit like me, they are getting a little saggy ... especially the drivers side

Tell me about it. I posted on here must be seven years ago I was thinking of changing my seats. biggrin
I'm looking at Corbeau RXI .... it reclines and seems a good price and at 12KG it aint as heavy by a fair margin compared to OEM and a lot cheaper than the Recaro Sportster CS I've always quietly had my eye on.

Groan - more choice hehe

You still need one that tilts?

So does the back tilt easily from a lever as per OE, or do you have to be sitting to do it?

I'm still taken by the Cobra - on looks and 10.2kgs.

I dont need tilt really, i believe it does tilt a little but its the recline I'm interested in and also the adjustable lumber support (via hand pump I think)...... I also think it has a lever to recline. I dont think think you have to be sat in to adjust the seat back... but unsure

Yeah those you are looking at look good and are even lighter but I'm a practical type of chap and I like the idea of a bit more adjustment even at the expense of a little more weight. smile
