As it is an RSR replica it surely 'needs' wide tyres to reproduce the original look? The original RSR would have been @ 260mm section on the rear, but tyre availability is pretty poor if you want road legal ones. My car has 315 section at the rear on 16" rims, which I agree are on the large side, but i don't seem to have much choice. If I was to change to 15" wheels the usual choice seems to be to go even wider at 335mm!!!. I'd love to hear people's thoughts on options because I don't want to use the tyres that I currently have.
On my rsr (replica) put wide 15 x 11. inch wheels (from memory) and TB 15’s Whilst they looked great I handled dreadfully,
On my next one a 3.0 iroc replica it had from memory 225 or 245’s and it was much much better !
In my super sport it has factory spacers and 245’s on the rear and 205’s on the front, which is a great set up for a wide body.
Will dig out some pictures later

Love the colour.
I do wonder about these resto/hot rods with the massive wheels on them….absolutely no need on modern rubber for wheels that size to cope with 300 bhp. All that weight in the worst place possible….dread to think what the steering is like.

Re your tyres Longstone seem to be the “go to” people
I would like a better driving car but am not sure how much I can compromise on spoiling the look. I've currently got Pirelli Corsa D5 tyres from Longstone and the amount of 'grab' during low speed manoeuvring is off the charts. When the car is rolling it is a pretty decent ride all things considered but could do with toning down a bit with narrower tyres. I'll have a look at the photos that Phil has kindly provided and try and work out what the best course of action is. Fortunately, my speedo is GPS so playing around with tyre sizes won't impact that.

If you want any specific photos of mine, let me know I’ve probably got loads over the years that might help, another good rsr rep to look at with well balanced tyres is the one Rindt had / have for sale, will try and find a link GTRene said:

The red light is a oil pressure warning light

Blimey, that doesn't bode well then as the light is on, and why such a large light as a warning? Thanks for sharing their response.
Ignition on with the engine not running, hence no oil pressure. It was quite common for old racing cars to have a large and obvious oil pressure light, although I've not seen one exactly like that before. It was usually just stuck randomly on the dash like this because they didn't care how it looked:

This one looks interesting and unique, though I don't think the bumpers look quite right.

They’re 911 SCRS items. So they’re period correct. Google is your friend.https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/16014081

Why would anyone buy that instead of an original Carrera CS which can be had for not much more in the grand scheme of things ?https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/16014081
^^^ The number of these `I see then back up for sale is unbelievable. A mate recently spent £150k with RPM "RS" ing his 993. He now barely drives it and thinking about outing it...I agree on the prototype the bumpers aren't looking right. The front looks correct on the RPM homage but the rear bumper looks wrong. £130k which is probably a discount to what the project has probably cost vendor but to me that's a £75k car. It drives me mad when they put the mileage back like that too.
The real one's bumper has better fit with over all look of the rear.

Thank you very much for the offer. I'm abroad at the moment, but will start looking into the tyre sizes and sourcing the appropriate barrels to resize the split rims when I return home.IMI A said:

As you say it is unbelievable how many of these cars end up for sale. If I wanted to fettle an air cooled car I’d do not much more than look at enhancing the engine and possibly the suspension.
this is not bad I think.
