I might be about to make a fool of myself, but I can't see prices for 360s skyrocketing any time soon. There are just too many of them about. I think they are a pretty safe purchase for an enthusiast. You won't make much, but you won't lose much either.

And as much as I love the 328, I certainly wouldn't be putting my money into one now. They have gone up in price far too quickly. There may well be scope for values to increase by another 50% or more. But they are equally vulnerable to a 50% correction. And that's not a position I would want to buy into.

I reckon the only people hoovering up mint 328s at the moment are speculators. And they will dump them just as quickly when the mood suits them.

That said, no doubt the best ones will be £150k in six months...

Agree (as a 360 spider owner). Also the car bubble is looking a bit silly. I say car bubble as it's gone beyond "classic" cars now. Along with the housing bubble, these things have to pop at some point.

I think it's fair to say that the 360 is likely to be fairly depreciation proof partly due to the diminishing numbers in the UK as well with all the Australian exports etc.

Definately bubbles appearing at the top - I think the higher mileage useable ones are better prtoected as they haven't gone as mad. I don't see TRs stayin high except the very best, they made far too many of them.

That was my justification for the GS. From what I see the Oz exports have pretty much dried up since I bought mine as the pound is stronger. The 360 was something we seriously looked at before the GS, only the extra seats swayed it. 360 prices looked to have firmed very slightly in the last 2 years though. The reason against one is the 360 driving experience is quite similar to the GS in term of tech and modernity, we want something simpler, but I'm not brave enough to buy an £80k Mistral at auction.

Now if I could get her into a manual Gallardo spyder I suspect the investment potential would go straight out of the sunroof smile
