That's the plan ! CS and Suderia give us a good idea of the potential depreciation/appreciation curve although I do genuinely believe the Speciale is a fantastic car and better for being the last normally aspirated V8. 3 years should give me enough time to save £180k for one.
Always working to a tight budget so specced one to £230k for March delivery but TBH I'd rather wait a bit and save the
£50k + for a barely used one when they have bottomed out
Just surprised so many up for sale already and not exactly flying off the shelfs
Didn't have time to go far but in the 10 miles I did, it blew me away how advanced and clever this machine is, there's very minimal driver input required but the feedback, noise and smiles are better than expected. I'm more in tune with analogue cars having the GT and Sagaris as main fun cars so this is leaps on from those. The steering gave me a shock at the first few corners but it feels great, the different settings on the 'manny tony' switch change the grip and noise a fair bit which was interesting, I'll need more time to experiment there. I'm blown away, my pics aren't great but heres a few

Congratulations!
As you say, last Friday, I had agreed to buy a new car (not spec'd by me), arriving in November. I jumped on a plane to NYC on Sunday. When I arrived, I had a message to say that it had sold, but not to worry, as there was another one available. On Monday, I received another phone call telling me a guy swung by in his F12 Berlinetta and had brought that. At this point I wasn't very happy - so wired a deposit through there and then, signed all of the paper work and scanned it back. Had a great day in NYC after that!

the temptation was great, the speciale's looks are great, exterior and exterior, certainly beats my black F458italia in the looks department. but today i did a one-hour freeway run on a rather bumpy road (in a speciale i borrowed from my dealer) and after 30min going between 130 and 170 km/hi was totally overwhelmed from the road noise - not from the engine noise which is great. for me the road noise is the deal breaker, i could not do long journeys in this car. vienna-monte carlo is not possible for me, after three hours my brain would be fried. also the suspension is too rough for me, even in the bumpy roads setting, at times i could feel me jaw vibrate!!!!Must resist the temptation(-:

certainly this takes nothing away from the greatness of the car, which is mind-blowing but it fails me on the GT end.
AFAIAC the italia rules, it is the best all-around F 8 cylinder car.
the problem is that today's test-drive did not only kill the speciale for me, but also the porsche GT3 and the GT3 RS (similar arguments apply). so what remains for next? keep the italia (not a bad option) or go turbo-charged with the M458-T? or the clinical porsche turbo S? to the carrera GTS? i did not like the huracan when i test drove it, it is really a very small car, particularly inside and as far as storage space is concerned.
am i getting old(er)? ::
