My First Ferrari...and its a Scud!
Discussion
A couple of months in and a quick update.
Life with the Scud has been pretty good, I'm enjoying driving it and do so whenever possible. As I travel a fair bit for work, I put the car on the trickle charger to ensure there are no battery mishaps. The only downsides so far have been numpties wanting to race me in everything from Toyota Landcruisers to Audi A8s (I just let them go of course without rising to their bait...generally) and the cost of a spare key the cost of which made my eyes water and which I have put in the dark recesses of mind never to be remembered again.
I went for a "spirited" drive yesterday to a place called Bab Al Shams in the company of a Testarossa, a 512TR and C2S Cab. I have uploaded a couple of pics, apologies in advance for the quality, I am not the world's best photographer.
Next on the agenda is a trackday or 3 and a full paint correction detail before the summer months arrive here in Dubai.

Cool, we are planning another drive in the next couple of weeks, will give you a shout.
What's the drive to Jebel Jais like?
The drive to get there is pretty boring to be honest, get on the 611 and sit there at 139kph until it ends! What's the drive to Jebel Jais like?
Once actually off the highway the road is good fun, very low grip at low elevations, 2 lane tarmac all the way to the top with one 200m piece of smooth gravel to traverse on the way.
The top car park area is gravel also but no issue.
The biggest problem is that it's very busy from mid-morning onward... it really is a destination to head to so that you arrive there at dawn (means leaving Dubai at about 5am I would guess.
I think it's worth it.... like most roads here it's not a patch on a good British B road but it's far more interesting than most roads in this area.
Ah the convoy was spotted by a mate, there was a photo of the TR and Testarossa on his instagram, when he was on his way back from the Al Qudra cycle track.
My neighbour regularly thrashes his 991 gt3 up jebel jais, speaks very high of it as a drivers road which are few and far between out here.
The road to Kale through the mountains is also worth doing.
