Has anyone come across this F430 before? Its grey with black leather but now has a white wrap? 2008 08 plate, done 20k miles.

I'm considering going to have a look at it, just hope its not one someone recognises as a ex rental car or something?

If i like it, I'd like to get an inspection done, are there any recommended inspectors in London? Car is located in Mill Hill.

I believe it was on sale at Hendon Way Motors previous, I'd imagine on SOR. Has anyone viewed it before?

Thanks for the help in advance.

It's LHD though.

Pay close attention to the body, look for signs of corrosion/oxidization under the wrap, mainly around the wheel arches, lower edge of the door and the underside of the bonnet are areas I've seen on a few wrapped 360/430 models,

Inspection wise QV or Autoficcina both seem to pop up frequently when asking for recommendations

I maybe overly cynical but I wouldn't feel comfortable buying a wrapped car. There's something about it for me that doesn't paint a good picture of the owner!

That looks great, but I don't think I'd like a LHD.

Thanks, I think I'd only buy it with the Wrap taken off, I'm a bit sceptical about what's underneath cars that have been wrapped!

It may be rare, but I've seen examples where the wrap has been removed and has peeled large areas of clearcoat, particularly on plastic parts (bumpers etc)

In my experience, it is fairly common for this to happen.

I just came back from seeing the car.

The seats looked very worn to me too, the wrap has seen better days, needless to say it's not the car for me.

Its terrible isn't it!

Well at least if anyone from here was planning to go see it, now they know about so they won't have a wasted journey!

It did seem a little cheap to me for an 08 Spyder for £72k.

I really cant believe that any prestige dealership could advertise that for sale in that condition. To have that repaired through the trade would cost next to nothing for a dealership.

Then again a Porsche dealership from the south sent a driver with a 997 turbo upto the midlands after they were told that it would be inspected by an expert. The car was so bad that the driver rang the dealership and played hell with them after sitting in friday traffic up the M6 in the pouring rain on a friday all for nothing.

Out of Interest, being an 2008 car did it have ceramic brakes?, if so, it is a bargain if all checks out, for £70k.

It did have Ceramics, hence i was really interested in it.

Its the mileage discrepancy that has put me off, I will be speaking to HR Owen tomorrow to see what information they hold.

The car actually drove fine.

Sounds like its had a haircut but no makeover. Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole

Its cheap for a reason as you have now found out

Pretty sure you can confirm the mileage with an SD2/3 via the ECU. Get it inspected, you might get a bargain of the year!

It's been for sale for some time, I'm almost certain since before Christmas at least, which tells you as much as you need to know really.

You have to assume at this point that you won't be the first to have arranged an inspection on the car, and perhaps baulked at the results.

+1 would not go within a million miles of that.
